You will adhere colored glass to your polycarbonate template to create a stunning outdoor design that is waterproof, super sturdy, and will last for years to come. Create a mosaic window by using colored glass, a glass cutter, and resin or grout. Bonnie Dhein will introduce you to the many various types of glass and teach you how to cut and shape glass into tesserae (the basic mosaic unit). You will gain a strong foundation for constructing interior mosaics including safety, terminology, design, layout, cutting, proper adhesives, substrates, resin, grouting, finishing, and more. Complete your window for interior display. Please note Bonnie Dhein will contact you before the class to discuss picking out your window and any prep/design work prior to the first class on Tuesday, April 29. *Open Studio Times: Depending on the intricacy or detail of your design, you may work during Open Studio dates to complete your project. Join instructor Mary Mertes to throw a bowl on the pottery wheel. Mary will guide you on how to arrange your pottery wheel workspace, clay, water, and tools. Then you will center your clay on the wheel, shape the walls, and finish the rim of your bowl. You will then learn to cut your bowl free from the pottery wheel. To finish your project, you will return approximately one week after (during Open Pottery times) to trim your bowl and then approximately three weeks later to glaze your bowl. Painting with Wool with Jeanne Weymouth

This is so much fun! Using wool roving, a felting needle, and a wool “canvas” you can create a work of art. And it’s really easy! In this class, you’ll learn about needle felting with wool roving. If you have a design or picture in mind you’d like to create, that’s great! If not, there will be a myriad of design ideas available in class to jump-start your creativity. Come join this class to learn basic needle felting skills, work with soft wools, and have fun! You’ll go home with a framed/finished piece.

Open Paint & Drawing Studio with Bonnie Dhein

Looking for more studio time to work on your paintings or drawing? Bring anything you want to paint/draw with and spend three hours with Bonnie guiding you through instructions on your artwork, including color mixing, brush techniques, composition, drawing and answers for any questions you might have. If you have your own supplies and would like to use them (i.e. favorite brushes, paint colors) please bring them. If you want to use the classroom paint supplies, there will be an additional charge of $10 (paint only). Canvases are available for purchase, and various sizes are available. Students of all levels are welcome in this open-studio class.

Cindy will guide you in how to work with glass and aid in your design. In part 1, you will cut and set your glass. Please come with a design in mind as well as a color scheme! This part is the lengthiest so please feel free to bring a beverage or snack! Part 2 will be dedicated to grouting. This part takes approximately 20 minutes. Part 3 will be dedicated to cleaning your mosaic and adding any additional decorations to your piece. Table is 13" in diameter and 19" in height and is offered in a variety of colors: pink, yellow/orange, and black. cancellation policy
All CWCC classes or workshops are non-refundable unless CWCC cancels a class or camp due to weather, health, an emergency, or low attendance. In those cases, the student will be notified of the cancellation as soon as possible and will be offered a credit for the class that is canceled, or (if possible) the option to move into a different class or camp being offered.
Paid student cancellations must occur 48 hours prior to class start time to receive CWCC credit.
